Sadly, sometimes the best part of being divorced is the way that God provides the time, the space and the peace to be away from the other human being who seems to have interfered with that very precious gift of freedom that we have all been called to.
I do believe in a good, peaceful marriage. However, some marriages don't need to part ways. I truly think that one partner gives up on the other one.
I am now moving forward in my life and endeavoring to conquer every financial hurdle that I believed was holding me back, when in fact, it was my thinking. I am really starting to take responsibility to provide for my own home. And this has been the breakthrough that I was looking for. It is so sad that someone had to fall by the wayside, because they couldn't see that I was willing to keep the marriage going, even if separated, for the sake of our promises, for the sake of our children and my precious son.
It is fun. I am seeing breakthroughs in my life. I have the gift of peace, space and time to accept those things that are no more and I do have the ability to change those things that I can change. And the wisdom to know the difference is coming to me every day. I do love the land of Colorado. I do love the people of the small community that I live in, and the view of the mountains is spectacular on a nightly basis. I have the greatest life that I have ever had. And one of the best gifts next to peace is the Lord's reward: my son, Shawn.
I look forward to discovering what is inside of him each time he stays over with me. He's got a destiny within him. I believe this. To me, he is the best son a father could ask for in the Lord. He is really getting to know his Noah's Ark story and is able to quote it and preach the story to others. I am so proud of his belonging to the Lord.
That is his greatest accomplishment, knowing the Lord and living within him. Please Lord, give him eyes to see and ears to hear what the Holy Spirit has to say to all of the churches each morning, day, afternoon and during the night watches. And may he ever live in joy, peace and righteousness inside the Holy Ghost forever and ever and ever. Amen. In the Name of Jesus Christ, I ask.
My ex-wife is also the best wife that I could ask for. After all, she bore me the only son that I have had, biologically speaking.
